C. A. Perez hails from a small city called New Albany, located in the southern part of the state of Indiana. In his youth he was introduced to the fantasy genre, starting with old works like The Iliad and The Odyssey. Eventually, the classics reached his hands: The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Chronicles of Narnia. At the age of ten, he began to write short stories, but it wasn't until his teenage years that he finally sorted through his thoughts and penned down something with a solid foundation. That was Hell on Earth, the first look into the world of Oedon and its inhabitants.
This strong desire to write was nurtured by the wise teachers of the high school that he attended, Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and again by a few professors at Bellarmine University, where C. A. Perez graduated in 2013. His degree was a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, something starkly different from the expected English field but it has proved immensely helpful in developing new creatures and beings.
